How do I apply for a job at Northwest Community Healthcare?

The application process, a list of open positions and general job descriptions are available on our Careers website. We no longer use paper applications, so you must apply online.



I do not have a computer at home. How can I apply for a job?

We encourage interested applicants to visit their public libraries, where computers with internet service are available to the public. You may also visit the NCH Human Resources department, located at 605 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights, and use the computer kiosks to apply for a job between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.


I do not have an email address. Can I apply for a job without one?

You need an email address in order to complete an application. We have provided a link on our application to Gmail, where you can create a free email account. NCH will send you a confirmation email after receiving your application.


Can I send NCH my paper résumé?

No, please do not send paper résumés. You may attach your résumé to your completed application, which will be sent to the appropriate recruiter.



How do I know NCH received my application?

Please supply a current email address on your application. NCH will email you, stating we received your application and have sent it to the recruiter for review.



Do I have to complete another application if I am interested in more than one position at NCH?

Yes, you must complete an application for each position you are interested in, as they are forwarded to the respective recruiter and departments.



Does NCH have ‘generic’ applications?

No, we do not have general applications. You must choose an open, posted position that matches your qualifications and apply for that specific job.



Does NCH have a specific application for new nurse graduates to complete?

Yes, NCH has an application for new graduate RNs entitled, "Nurse Resident," which is only posted on the website when we are accepting applications for this position. The "Nurse Resident" application can be found under "Nursing/Patient Care" in the Jobs by Category listing. Please see "Recent RN Graduates" in our Jobs section to find out more about our new graduate program, and if applications are currently being accepted.

 

How long does NCH keep my application?

Applications are kept on-file for three months.



Can I call to check on the status of my application?

No follow-up is necessary, as every application is reviewed and acknowledged with an email from the Human Resources employment team.



How soon could I expect to hear from someone regarding my application at NCH?

If your qualifications and background meet our requirements, you may be contacted by a recruiter within two weeks.
