Guided Imagery for Cancer Survivors

This group is for cancer survivors who are looking to increase their sense of well being, balance and comfort. This group is open to those who are newly diagnosed, going through treatment or have completed treatment. Join Diane Sullivan, MS, LPC, CH, as she leads the group in using relaxation techniques and visualization. The only requirement is that you are willing to enjoy the feeling of relaxation. Leukemia, Lymphoma and other Blood-Related Disorders Networking Group

A networking group for those with blood-related disorders, their families and friends, meets the second Wednesday of each month from 7 – 8:30 pm in Cancer Services at NCH. The group discusses issues related to leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and any other blood-related disorders. Anyone affected by these diseases, including family and friends, are encouraged to attend. Co-sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Look Good...Feel Better®

A program that teaches beauty techniques to women who are actively undergoing cancer treatment to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Taught by a cosmetologist. Participants receive a free make-up kit valued up to $250. The class is held in Cancer Services at NCH. Co-Sponsored by the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, and the National Cosmetology Association. Make Today Count

A networking group open to all cancer patients, their family and friends. This group provides opportunities to exchange thoughts and ideas on dealing with cancer. The group meets twice a month on Thursdays from 7 – 8:30 pm in Cancer Services at NCH. Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) Networking Group

This networking group is open to all MDS patients, their families and friends. The group provides opportunities to exchange thoughts and ideas on dealing with MDS. It is held the fourth Tuesday of the month in Cancer Services at NCH. The class meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 1:30 – 3 pm. Co-sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Pancreatic & Hepatobiliary Cancer Support Group

This support group is for anyone with a pancreas or hepatobiliary cancer, as well as their family and friends. The group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 8 pm in Cancer Services at NCH, except when we have the quarterly Pancreatic Surgery Networking & Education Group. Facilitated by Oncology Social Worker Kim Jensen, LCSW, OSW-C, and Pancreas Nurse Navigator Stephanie Evans, RN.
