Trauma to the head and brain can manifest in a number of ways, from headaches to seizures. Any injury to the head should be treated seriously and quickly to ensure the best possible outcome. Our multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, emergency department physicians and other specialists use advanced technologies to diagnose and treat brain injuries.

We are among the first hospitals in the Midwest to work with CereScan^®, a brain imaging and diagnostics company in Colorado that uses high-tech imaging to measure blood flow in up to 160 regions of the brain. We use CereScan’s patented process—qSPECT imaging—which measures blood flow to show how brain cells are functioning. The amount of blood flow is displayed on a color spectrum (see image).
