Northwest Community Hospital Foundation:
Memorial Garden
Our Memorial Garden has been developed in honor of all infants lost to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth and newborn death.
"We see approximately 3,000 lives brought into the world on an annual basis, and this Garden will serve as a touching reminder of those who were lost," comments Cindy Hartwig, director of Women's Services at Northwest Community Hospital. "While everyone deals with loss differently, we hope this Garden will comfort many families in their grief."
This unique area is located on the north end of the Hospital campus.
Many generous contributions have been made toward the Garden to make this project a reality. Gifts of $1,000 or more were recognized on a special plaque near the entry of the Garden.
Opportunities remain for those interested in supporting the Memorial Garden through an outright gift or by honoring the memory of a baby with an engraved brick for the patio. For more information, contact the Foundation at 847.618.4260.
