NCH’s 50th Anniversary Gala Draws 700+ Guests!

On Saturday night, May 30, more than 700 civic leaders packed the ballroom at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel for Northwest Community Hospital’s 50th Anniversary Gala, “Rooted in Community, Reaching New Heights.” Ron Magers of ABC 7 News served as master of ceremonies, and guests were treated to an elegant dinner, an inspiring video and a lively show by Chicago’s entertainer, Ron Hawking.

Thanks to the support of the Gala’s hosts, sponsors, donors and guests, net proceeds from the event surpassed the $500,000 goal. The funds will benefit the Hospital’s Community Vision Campaign to build new facilities, expand programs, and offer the most advanced technology and clinical expertise—all to ensure the very best care close to home for our families, friends and neighbors.

An exciting new campaign pledge of $1,000,000 from Northwest Suburban Anesthesiologists was announced at the Gala. The group’s president, Dr. Thomas Przezdziak, says, “The Hospital is making great efforts towards the future, and we want to be a part of that.” On behalf of their families, honorary chairs Rita Canning and Vince Foglia spoke about the quality of NCH service and leadership—which moved both the Cannings and Foglias to launch the campaign with significant charitable gifts to the Hospital.
