Dr. Willis Parsons is medical director of the NCH Gastrointestinal Center. He is a board certified gastroenterologist recognized nationally for his work in advanced endoscopic procedures and the management of pancreatic disease. His background, leadership and experience ensure that you receive the best possible care to meet your specific needs.
Dr. Eric J. Yegelwel, chief of Gastroenterology since 2008, has been a board-certified gastroenterologist at Northwest Community Hospital since 1989. Dr. Yegelwel interned and did his residency at the University of Illinois after graduating from New Jersey Medical School. He also had a fellowship at Loyola University.
Dr. Anita Spiess, vice chief of Gastroenterology since 2008, arrived at Northwest Community Hospital in 1998. She attended Northwestern University Medical School, where she also completed her residency and Fellowship. She is board-certified in Gastroenterology.
Kathy Lamont RN, BS, MBA is the Director of the Gastroenterology Center at Northwest Community Hospital. She graduated from National Louis University with a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare leadership and a Master’s in Business Administration. She has been the nurse manager of the Gastroenterology Center at Northwest Community Hospital for fourteen years.
NCH provides the only teaching gallery in Illinois where medical professionals come from around the country to learn advanced procedures. The state-of-the-art teaching gallery transmits live images around the world, so clinicians can also learn online.
