The new Gastroenterology Center is continually investing in the latest technology to ensure that you receive the best and least invasive treatments possible. These treatments include:

• Two interventional suites with digital fluoroscopy
• Two endoscopic ultrasound systems used to diagnose and stage cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and lung
• BARRX HALO³⁶⁰ Ablation Systems  used to destroy abnormal tissue in the esophagus and reduce the risk of esophageal cancer
• Nine procedure rooms equipped with state-of-the-art digital imaging systems with high definition technology that are less invasive, and a more comfortable method for diagnosing abnormalities within the digestive system

• The Gastroenterology Center is staffed by nationally recognized gastroenterologists along with our staff of highly skilled nurses and technologists
• Awarded 2009 Healthgrades Clinical Excellence Awards for Gastrointestinal Care Excellence and Gastrointestinal Surgery Excellence
• Together these teams performed more than 12,000 gastrointestinal procedures last year while still providing comfort, convenience and privacy

Dr. Willis Parsons is medical director of the NCH Gastroenterology Center. He is a board certified gastroenterologist recognized nationally for his work in advanced endoscopic procedures and the management of pancreatic disease. His background, leadership and experience ensure that you receive the best possible care to meet your specific needs.

NCH provides the only teaching gallery in Illinois where medical professionals come from around the country to learn advanced procedures. The state-of-the-art teaching gallery transmits live images around the world, so clinicians can also learn online.
