The first step toward identifying and managing a hereditary risk of developing cancer is to contact our genetic counselor, Avis Gibons, at 847.618.6662.

The genetic counselor will assist you in scheduling your appointment.

Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 am to Noon.

Location and Directions

The NCH Genetic Counseling office is located in the Cancer Services Administration office. All patients will be required to check in at the registration desk in Radiation Oncology. Free parking, including handicapped-accessible parking, is available in the parking garage attached to the Busse Center for Specialty Medicine. Patients should then proceed to the North Elevators and press "B" for access to the Radiation Oncology area.
