We are now pleased to have a place and program that supports 24-hour comprehensive, dignified medical care for those who are facing the end of life. NCH has partnered with the Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter to create an inpatient facility to meet that need — The Midwest CareCenter Hospice Suite at Northwest Community Hospital.

What is hospice care?

Hospice begins when a terminally ill person chooses care options focused on comfort and symptom relief rather than on a cure. Hospice medical and supportive care is usually provided where the person lives. When 24-hour intensive hospice care is required The Midwest CareCenter Hospice Suite at NCH offers medical care in a comfortable, homelike environment.

Hospice care focuses on your quality of life — living with dignity, free of pain and other distressing symptoms — as well as providing support for your loved ones. At The Midwest CareCenter Hospice Suite, we will:

• Address your intensive medical care needs including pain, nausea, vomiting, agitation, or respiratory distress.
• Provide psychosocial and spiritual support for concerns with stress, anxiety, faith and loss, readily available for you and your loved ones.
