We have an expert staff that will help you determine the causes of joint and muscle pain, counsel you on surgery options, and even help you get started on the path to recovery with our excellent rehabilitation staff.

Total Joint Replacement Program

If the damage to a joint is severe, a hip replacement or knee replacement might be recommended. It’s important to work with a group that understands all of the elements that go into a joint replacement, from pre-operative education to pain management through to home healthcare and physical rehabilitation. At NCH, our Total Joint Replacement Program is designed to get you home faster after surgery and back on your feet sooner. Components of the program include:

• Experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeons who work side-by-side with specially trained nurses and therapists
• Advanced pain control to help speed recovery and rehabilitation
• Physical therapy available seven days a week to get you up and moving toward recovery faster
• A follow-up therapy and home care plan put in place before you leave the hospital to ensure that your recovery remains on track once you’re at home

MAKOplasty Partial Knee Resurfacing

A new alternative to total joint knee replacement is available at NCH for individuals with painful early to mid-stage osteoarthritis of the knee. This minimally invasive partial knee resurfacing procedure, known as MAKOplasty®, integrates a surgeon-controlled robotic arm system to deliver precise resurfacing of the arthritic portion of the knee while preserving healthy tissue and bone. Outpatient physical rehabilitation services

Our highly trained and licensed staff works closely with you and your physician to provide a wide range of services, including:

• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Aquatic therapy

Upon completion of therapy, the staff will teach you how to effectively continue the program on your own.
