Updated: Tumor Board and Specialty Conferences

At the request of the Cancer Committee, the following schedule is a pilot that began on November 13, 2012, to be re-evaluated at the April 9, 2013, meeting.

NCH is an accredited Comprehensive Cancer Program of the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. As part of this comprehensive program, cancer conferences, such as the Tumor Board, are a required activity and a vital component. Cancer conferences allow for the review of cancer cases and encourage multidisciplinary involvement in the care process. They are also integral to improving the care of cancer patients by contributing to the patient management process and outcomes, as well as providing education to physicians and other staff in attendance. These conferences are open to the entire medical staff.

* Cancer Conferences held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month will conclude at 8 am.

** Cancer Conferences are not scheduled due to holidays and observances on the following dates:

• January 1
• July 2
• September 3
• November 26
• December 24
• December 31
