Changes in requirements for procedural sedation privileges

Northwest Community Hospital has adopted a new policy for all non-anesthesiologist physicians who administer or supervise administration of sedative and analgesic medications to establish moderate sedation.

Maintenance in ACLS, NRP or PALS certification as well as completion of a computer based training course will be required for this privilege no later than Oct. 15, 2013. ACLS classes are offered through the NCH Learning Center.
