Tumor Board and Specialty Conferences
NCH is an accredited Comprehensive Cancer Program of the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. As part of this comprehensive program, cancer conferences, such as the Tumor Board, are a required activity and a vital component. Cancer conferences allow for the review of cancer cases and encourage multidisciplinary involvement in the care process. They are also integral to improving the care of cancer patients by contributing to the patient management process and outcomes, as well as providing education to physicians and other staff in attendance. These conferences are open to the entire medical staff.
2012 Tumor Board & Specialty Conference Schedule
Held weekly on Tuesday mornings, 7 – 8:30 am, in Room 1-6 as follows:Breast Conference:Due to holidays and observances, there will be NO cancer conferences on:
Every Tuesday, 7 – 7:40 am
General Tumor Board:
First and fifth Tuesday of the month at 7:45 am
* Fifth Tuesdays in 2012: June 29, and October 30
Thoracic Conference:
Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:45 am
* Thoracic conferences will not be held on the dates of the Cancer Committee's quarterly meeting.
GI Conference:
Third Tuesday of the month at 7:45 am
