Dr. Donahue teams up with ex-Bears player Desmond Clark at Foundation's "Sports Clinic"
Former Bears tight end Desmond Clark (left), joins orthopedic surgeon Brian Donahue, MD, and NCH Foundation Board Chair Jack Lloyd at a "Sports Clinic" Foundation gathering.
Jack Lloyd, regional market president of BMO Harris Bank and chair of the Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) Foundation board, hosted a special "Sports Clinic" gathering for NCH donors and friends at his home on September 5. The sports-themed outreach event drew 43 guests and motivated many to join President's Circle, the Foundation's giving society for those who make annual gifts to NCH of $1,000 or more.
Brian Donahue, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist on NCH's medical staff, talked about how to prevent, identify and treat concussions—especially in young athletes now entering the fall sports season.
Former Bears tight end Desmond Clark spoke about balancing the risks and rewards of playing sports, emphasizing the positive impact on character development. Both Dr. Donahue and Clark did a great job of engaging current NCH donors and inspiring new ones.
