The NCH Foundation's 16th Annual Golf Classic at Medinah was a record-breaker. A sell-out field of 256 golfers raised an unprecedented $370,000 in net proceeds for NCH's Nurse Navigator program. The raffle exceeded the goal by thousands--and, for the first time ever, there was a hole-in-one!
Navigators coordinate care, help patients understand their diagnosis, share information about treatment options, and respond to questions. Though this service is highly valued by patients and staff, the hospital is not reimbursed for it. The proceeds of this year's Golf Classic will be invested in NCH's Nurse Navigator Program.
