Patient Satisfaction
One way to tell whether a hospital is serving the needs of its patients is to ask the patients themselves. Patient satisfaction surveys ask patients about many of the non-clinical factors that can help to make the overall healthcare experience positive – or not. Many hospitals and other healthcare organizations ask their patients how well they are meeting the patients’ needs and expectations. Survey questions may ask patients to rate factors such as: how courteous and helpful the physicians, nurses and staff were; or how well tests and procedures were explained.
