Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction

To assure objectivity, Northwest Community Hospital uses an outside survey firm – Press Ganey Associates, Inc. as a key part of measuring its patient satisfaction. Surveys are mailed to a random selection of patients who have used any of the following hospital services: inpatient (staying overnight in the hospital), outpatient, emergency department, home healthcare, ambulatory surgery (outpatient surgery) or treatment center. Press Ganey then compares Northwest Community’s survey scores with scores of other hospitals across the U.S. Their results are issued in the form of a percent, which shows how one hospital compares with the average of other hospitals.
