Advanced Medical Care

The South Pavilion is part of a larger commitment by Northwest Community Hospital to not only expand services, but raise expectations of what a community hospital can be. Our vision is to create a world-class hospital that pursues excellence at every level, and with one objective: Delivering the best patient care.

Here are some examples of our advanced medical care available throughout the hospital, including the South Pavilion:

  • Our specialty services feature advanced technologies that increase the precision, safety, comfort and speed of screening, diagnosis and treatment. Our multidisciplinary teams of experts include many of the region’s top doctors and nurse specialists who serve as a patient resource to analyze specific cases and determine the best treatment options. The focuses of these expert teams include breast, heart and prostate care as well as cancer, gastroenterology and pancreatic treatments.
  • As a state-of-the-art Level II Trauma Center, NCH’s Emergency Room treats more patients than any other hospital in the northwest suburbs. NCH’s pediatric emergency care provides on-site access to board-certified pediatric emergency doctors from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Our Emergency Room also provides patients with the highest level of emergency care for strokes.
  • Advanced technologies available at Northwest Community Hospital include a dual-source CT scanner, one of only three such systems in the Chicago area, that offers new applications for coronary CT angiography; the CyberKnife Radiosurgery System, which uses a robotic arm, linear accelerator and image-guided technology to effectively treat tumors; and the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, an effective robotic tool for minimally invasive surgeries such as myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids) and prostate cancer surgery.
