The South Pavilion was built with green design in mind. NCH has incorporated into the South Pavilion’s design many construction and operating practices that are environmentally responsible, addressing matters like water and energy efficiency, conservation of materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.
Fresh air, garden views, natural light—nature works hand-in-hand with advanced medical care to help patients heal. In our new South Pavilion, every detail has been thoroughly researched and carefully designed to improve the care that patients receive, and the comfort they experience.
The new South Pavilion is designed for your comfort and safety. Every one of the 200 new patient rooms is spacious and private, with a pull-out bed so a family member can stay with you overnight. Sophisticated medical equipment is built right in, and nurses are close at hand, so they can spend more time with you.
Research shows that private rooms help patients get well faster and go home sooner. With the addition of the South Pavilion, 80 percent of the rooms at the Hospital will now be private. Plus, each room in the South Pavilion has a comfy sofa for a loved one to stay overnight.
At the South Pavilion and throughout NCH, state-of-the art facilities and advanced technology support the highest level of physician expertise, in specialties ranging from neonatology to cancer, from neurology to critical care. More than 1,000 outstanding physicians call NCH home.
Congratulations to the winners of the South Pavilion Photo Contest! Judging was based on creativity, photo quality, and the effectiveness in conveying the unique character of the South Pavilion architecture. The three contest winners were announced Sunday, April 25.
