Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of the South Pavilion Photo Contest! Judging was based on creativity, photo quality, and the effectiveness in conveying the unique character of the South Pavilion architecture.

The three contest winners were announced Sunday, April 25, during Northwest Community Hospital’s Community Grand Opening in Arlington Heights. All of the photos were on display for the public to see. The winners are:

First Place – Kajsa Swanson of Arlington Heights ($300)
Second Place – George Mycyk of Mount Prospect ($200)
Third Place – James Bowden of Mount Prospect ($100)

Amateur photographers from across Chicago’s suburbs submitted more than 50 photos in the South Pavilion Photo Contest, organized by NCH to shine the spotlight on its state-of-the-art new building. Shots from a variety of angles captured the South Pavilion’s unique architecture.

All of the entries can be seen on the hospital’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NCHonline. The winning photos will be framed on a wall inside the hospital in the near future.

NCH thanks its panel of esteemed judges, who volunteered their time to add a high level of expertise to the competition. The photo judges were:

John Welzenbach, an expert photographer from the northwest suburbs
Stacey Wescott, photo chief of the Chicago Tribune’s Schaumburg Bureau
