Our community is made up of a variety of cultures, people with diverse economic backgrounds and resources, and those with special needs. At NCH, it is a privilege to provide care and services to all who live and work in the communities we serve.
Recognizing our role as a vital healthcare resource, we work hard to respond to the changing needs of our community. Through information gathered from the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and a dedicated Community Services Department, we work collaboratively with other community partners to develop and provide innovative programs to address the unique healthcare needs of our community.
Some of the many programs include:
Providing preventive and restorative oral health services to individuals and families who are without dental insurance and who live at less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level
Connecting you to a spectrum of agencies and organizations, dedicated to meeting the needs of the northwest suburbs' under-resourced population, including a large percentage of immigrant families
A free health education program that provides the Latino community with important health and social service referral information in Spanish
Helping under-resourced individuals and older adults, who often have difficulty navigating the healthcare system
Providing bedside assessment services in the NCH Behavioral Health Unit and supporting services in the community
