Chief Executive Officer and President
With over 25 years of senior leadership experience, Steve joined NCH in 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He became our CEO and President in 2013. Steve is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, vision and strategic priorities while overseeing all hospital activities.
During his free time, Steve and his wife enjoy watching their son participate in baseball and basketball leagues. The family also enjoys traveling throughout the U.S. An avid golfer, Steve likes going to the movies, reading and listening to music.
Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President
Michael works alongside our CEO to advance the organization’s mission, vision, core values, strategic priorities and growth goals. He’s also responsible for leading hospital and ambulatory operations as well as managing physician operations.
Michael and his family live here in our service area and when he isn’t at one of the kids’ many school-related events, Michael enjoys the outdoors and is an avid college basketball fan. He also attributes his participation in team sports to shaping his family life, work ethic and professional style.
Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President
Dr. Oryszczak is a physician leader who is experienced in collaborating with physicians, nursing leadership, and healthcare administration to develop and successfully implement new processes that improve patient care. He has worked with physicians throughout the NCH medical staff to advance clinical programs and provide expand, enhanced care for our patients and community.
Healthcare has always been in Dr. Oryszczak’s plans. In fact, in high school he volunteered at NCH as a patient transporter. In his formal training, he went on to receive his doctor of osteopathy at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona and completed his residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. He is board certified in internal medicine and joined the NCH medical staff in 2011 as a hospitalist with the NCH Medical Group.
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Chrissie oversees accounting, decision support and finance, which include: strategic and tactical matters as they relate to financial reporting, financial planning, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, revenue cycle, treasury and internal audit.
She joined NCH as Corporate Controller in April 2018 and in October of that year she was promoted to Vice President of Finance. In 2022 she was named CFO and EVP. Prior to joining NCH, Chrissie worked in the audit practice of Ernst & Young, LLP, and then led the Corporate Consolidations team for Baxter International. Chrissie received her Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
A resident of Arlington Heights, Chrissie and her husband, Joe, have two young children. She is a runner, and enjoys traveling, food and wine, and spending time with her kids.
Chief Nursing Officer and Executive Vice President
Kimberly is the Chief Nursing Officer and Executive Vice President at NCH. In her role, Kimberly leads the nursing team, providing oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing service in an environment that promotes professional nursing practice. Kimberly has worked in healthcare for nearly 30 years in a variety of settings from homecare to industrial case management. The vast majority of her experience, however, has been spent in the acute care setting. Her clinical experience includes Med-Surge, Emergency Department, Surgery and Acute Rehabilitation.
Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Grand Valley State University — Allendale, Michigan; Master of Business Administration/Healthcare Management from University of Phoenix, Michigan; and is a Wharton fellow at University of Pennsylvania. Kimberly has been a member of several professional nursing organizations, including the Michigan Organization of Nurse Executives and American Organization of Nurse Executives.
A hockey mom and animal lover, outside of work Kimberly enjoys family gatherings, traveling and genealogy.
