Vein Care

Varicose veins are an inherited, chronic condition requiring long-term care. We collaborate with your Primary Care physician to provide an integrated approach to your treatment.

Our goal is to relieve your pain, improve your quality of life and provide a treatment plan that allows you to remain active and productive throughout your treatment. This all starts with a thorough diagnosis, using the latest technology. Then, we’ll work with you to develop a course of action to achieve the results you’re seeking.

Common Conditions Treated
Diagnosis

We perform a complete examination of your venous system to determine the most effective treatment for your specific needs. This will include the use of a duplex ultrasound, a noninvasive imaging process to view the blood flow in veins and identify points of abnormal vein function. An examination of the arteries may also be done. Once these exams are complete, you will be presented with a number of treatment options.

Treatment Options

Treatment for your vein condition will be tailored to your individual needs. Successful treatment eliminates veins that are malfunctioning and improves overall vein circulation, thus relieving discomfort and improving skin appearance. Multiple treatment options may be combined to achieve the best results for you.

  • Additional innovative options – Varithena™, VenaSeal™, mechanochemical ablation (MOCA) – include new injection medications, a glue closure method and a combination of mechanical and chemical cauterization
  • Compression garments
  • Endovenous chemical ablation (ECA or sclerotherapy) – closes abnormal veins using injections
  • Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) – closes abnormal veins from the inside using heat created by laser energy
  • Microphlebectomy – removes abnormal veins via a small incision using local anesthetic
  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) – closes abnormal veins from the inside using heat generated from radiofrequency energy
