Adapting Outdoor Sports for those with Limitations as a result of their Cancer

Adaptive Adventures is a non-profit organization started by two individuals with physical disabilities. They saw a need for adventure & adaptive sports for people with physical disabilities, including cancer.

Adaptive Adventures is a non-profit organization started by two individuals with physical disabilities. They saw a need for adventure and adaptive sports for people with physical disabilities, including cancer.

Greg Zbrzezny, CPRP, Chicago Program Director with Adaptive Adventures will talk about their program and how cancer survivors can participate. They provide ongoing programs, camps and clinics in cycling, climbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, skiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, scuba, rafting and dragon boat racing. The program is free of charge or at a significantly subsidized cost.

This class is open to anyone diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones. Whether you are still in treatment or have been out of treatment for years, this class is for you.

We meet in the Radiation Oncology Department of the hospital, located in the lower level, just off the North Elevator.
