A Registered Nurse and Certified Childbirth Educator teach these classes. The classes go over all aspects of childbirth, including the phases of labor and delivery. We recommend taking them during the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy. The classes include relaxation exercises, breathing techniques, and comfort measures. A detailed description of all phases of labor and birth, including medical interventions, anesthesia, and options for labor, as well as a birth video.
The fee and program are expressly designed for patients delivering at Northwest Community Hospital and are $100.00 per couple. If you are not delivering at Northwest Community Hospital or have questions about registration or class availability, please contact Health Connections at (847) 618-4968, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Please note that in order for a class to be active, we require a minimum of 4 couples to be registered. If the minimum amount of couples are not registered, a representative will contact you to schedule an alternative date.
