NCH partnership will bring additional health and wellness services to Palatine

April 11, 2017

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 11, 2017) – Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is a partner, with the Palatine Park District and Harper College, in a $38 million renovation project on the college campus that will expand access to healthcare and wellness services in the northwest suburbs.

NCH is leasing 10,000 square feet of space in the renovated Building M on the college campus to provide on-site health services that include:

  • Primary care
  • Urgent care
  • Laboratory services
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational and employee health and wellness

“We are very excited about our partnership with Harper College to build the state-of-the-art facility and bring exceptional healthcare to Harper students, staff and nearby communities,” says NCH Chief Executive Officer Steve Scogna.

The project will transform an underutilized building into a cornerstone of the Harper campus. “We’re going from a building that our students described as the loneliest building on campus to one, we believe over the next two years, will be one of the most highly trafficked and engaged buildings on our campus,” Harper College President Dr. Ken Ender says.

The partnership underscores NCH’s commitment to providing a full range of primary care and ancillary services to the community.

“This partnership creates a natural health clinic system for Harper College staff, faculty and students to use as a first line of care,” says NCH Chief Operating Officer Michael Hartke. “Our partnership with Harper College further develops NCH’s system of care.”

The Palatine Park District is a partner in the project to help bring a needed Wellness and Sports Center to the community.
