NCH is launching a new initiative to introduce community members to the endless opportunities available throughout the system. Tuesdays will be open to anyone interested in working for the hospital.
“Talk with us Tuesdays is our new way to connect with the public and discuss opportunities. Whether it is scheduling a phone call, zoom call, in person meeting or a walk-in, Tuesdays will be our designated open interview day,” said Cathy Hennings, Employment Manager. “There are many different jobs openings.”
Interested parties can expect a fast response to their inquiry and appointments made. “We will be offering hospital tours, chances to check out a department and talk to hiring leaders. Most importantly, we will be able to share about the great work experience and benefits offered at NCH,” said Hennings.
Many positions don’t require healthcare experience, so don’t let that keep you from trying something new. NCH offers paid training programs and additional educational opportunities for those who qualify. Just some of the positions hiring now include nurses, therapists, patient care technicians, patient transporters, food services, technicians, trainers and so much more.
Opportunities are full- and part-time and different shifts are available.
Don’t be concerned if you don’t have an updated resume. There will be help available for those who would like to complete an application. A resume is desired, but not required.
“NCH has been a part of the community for more than 60 years, and many neighbors work at the hospital. We welcome you to come join us and help make a difference every day in your own community. We’ll offer you competitive salaries, benefits and opportunities to grow,” said Hennings.
If those aren’t enough reasons to want to work for NCH, consider our award-winning care has been recognized on a national level. Some of our top awards include America’s 250 Best Hospitals™ Award for four years in a row from Healthgrades® (2017–2020), Magnet® designation for nursing excellence, received consecutively since 2006 and The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and Comprehensive Stroke Center designation to name a few. Quality care means happy patients and an excellent employee culture.
Pre-registration is encouraged. Zoom meetings and phone calls can be scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Drop-in visits are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 800 W. Central Road, Entrance #4. To register, email recruiting@nch.org or call us at 847-618-5100.
