From prevention to rehabilitation, our Wellness Center provides an integrated approach to health and wellness through fitness and nutrition. Our 85,000-square-foot facility houses a full range of amenities to help you achieve your fitness goals.

Programs and Services

Kids Club

At our Kids Club, children ages 6 months through 12 years can stay active and have fun, all within a safe, social and enriching environment. With 2 hours of childcare daily and programming for kids of all ages, you’ll find it easy to get a workout in while the kids have fun!

Personal Training

Personal training is exercise coaching which incorporates assessment, goal-setting and health education. Your trainer will design a comprehensive and challenging program tailored to your needs. We offer one-on-one, duet and group training formats.

Pickleball

Fun, social and friendly. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. 

Pilates Reformer Training

Pilates is an exercise system utilizing machines intended to improve strength, mobility, posture, breathing and body awareness. We offer private, duet and group training options.

MedFit

The MedFit Program is a 60-day guided exercise program customized to your specific fitness goals.

WIN

A healthy, sustainable lifestyle program through fitness and food. WIN includes working with a registered dietitian in small nutrition session and certified personal trainer for group fitness. WIN is a consistent program to hold you accountable to help you achieve your nutrition and fitness goals.  WIN meets 2 times a week for 12 weeks and runs all year round.

Youth Fitness Program

Women’s Fitness

Wellness for Women is a 60-days for $60 individualized exercise program designed to assist women in reaching their health and fitness goals. 

Aquatics

One of the best ways to control pain, increase flexibility and improve daily function is through aquatic exercise. We offer a Daily Aqua Fitness class and Specialty Aquatic programs that can help.

Virtual Fitness

Our online Virtual Fitness program brings fitness classes right to your home. Work out at your pace and on your schedule. All classes are recorded under our content library which will give you an access to 250+ classes to access whenever you’d like. 

Cardiac, Pulmonary and Physical Rehabilitation Services

NCH offers cardiac, pulmonary and physical rehabilitation services at the Wellness Center. To schedule a cardiac or pulmonary rehab appointment, please call 847-618-7910. Policies and Rules

Written notification for a Leave of Absence (LOA) is required by the 15th of the previous month before LOA begins. All Leaves of Absence begin on the 1st of the month and resume on the 1st of a month.

LOA requests will not be taken over the phone; signature is required.
A LOA is for a minimum of 2 months up to a maximum of 6 months on a rolling 12-month basis.

$10 per month maintenance fee will be charged for EACH member on LOA.

The expiration of this leave will not result in a cancellation of membership. Normal membership dues will resume at the end of the leave.

Billing charges for locker will still occur each month during LOA, unless emptied and available to be rented out.

Written requests for cancellations received on or before the 15th of the current month will be honored on the last day of the month. Cancellations received on or after the 16th of the current month will be honored on the last day of the following month. Members who are contractually committed to 12 months of membership will pay a $150 per person cancellation fee if they cancel before that commitment has been fulfilled. Members may either fax a signed letter of cancellation to 847-618-3628 or visit the Membership office to sign cancellation paperwork. Requests for cancellations will not be taken over the phone.

NO REFUNDS.

Refer a friend and lower your membership dues by $2 a month when they join. You can continue lowering your dues with each referral until you pay no monthly dues! Referral credit is only awarded for a new membership, not for adding a member to an existing membership.

Proper etiquette throughout the fitness center and pool area will make everyone’s experience more enjoyable.

To ensure the safety, privacy and comfort of our members, talking on mobile phones is prohibited throughout our facility except in designated areas like the lobby and near the Fitness Desk. We do however encourage you to be mindful of other users of the facility while talking on your phone and keep the conversation minimal and at an appropriate level. Speaker phone and video chatting are prohibited.

Mobile phones may be used as a listening device while on the exercise equipment and fitness floor. Selfies, photos and videos are discouraged, but may be taken while on the fitness floor, with prior staff approval. No other members/users of the facility may be seen in the photo/video without consent.

The use of mobile phones for any reason is completely prohibited in the locker rooms, sauna, steam room, Kids Club, fitness classes and aquatic center.

Cell Phone Usage – Cell phones may be used as a listening device while on the exercise equipment and fitness floor. Selfies, photos and videos are discouraged, but may be taken while on the fitness floor, with prior staff approval. No other members/users of the facility may be seen in the photo/video without consent.

Share Equipment – Allow other members to work in while resting between sets.

Unload Your Weight Bar – Remove all weight plates from the bar after use.

Return Weights – Return weights (plates or dumbbells) to the designated spot.

Wipe off Equipment – Use provide gym wipes on machines or benches.

Locker Storage – Store all workout bags, coats and other personal belongings in a locker during your work out.

Attire – Proper clothing and shoes are required.

Be Prompt – Arrive to class on time.

Stay the Duration – Please stay until the end of class;  leaving before the end of class is disruptive to other members.

Conversation – Please limit conversation to before and after the class

Shower – Please take a soap shower before entering any of the pools or the whirlpool.

Be Respectful – Refrain from any boisterous activity, creating noise or using a lane in such a way that it is disruptive to other members. Arrive on time for class and limit personal conversations during class. Do not spit or spout water into the pool or gutter.

Heat Safety – Please be aware that over-exposure to heat can be hazardous to your health. The Illinois Department of Public Health recommends using a sauna, steam room or whirlpool for no more than 15 minutes at a time. If you feel faint, light-headed or dizzy at any time, move to a cooler area immediately. Refrain from using the sauna, steam room or whirlpool if you have any of the following conditions: high blood pressure, heart problems, pregnancy or diabetes.

Cell Phone Usage – The use of cell phones in the sauna or steam room is strictly prohibited.

Personal Grooming – In accordance with sanitary requirements, shaving or performing other personal grooming acts in the sauna or steam room is strictly prohibited.  Lotion is not allowed in the steam room or sauna.

Heat Safety – Please be aware that over-exposure to heat can be hazardous to your health.  The Illinois Department of Public Health recommends using a sauna or steam room for no more than 15 minutes at a time.  If you feel faint, light headed or dizzy at any time, move to a cooler area immediately.  Refrain from using the sauna or steam room if you have any of the following conditions: high blood pressure, heart problems, pregnancy or diabetes.

Attire – Wear proper attire in the steam room and sauna.

Swim Lanes – Stay clear of swim lanes being used by lap swimmers. Lanes can be shared with more than one swimmer.

If you feel faint, light-headed or dizzy at any time, move to a cooler area immediately. Refrain from using the whirlpool if you have any of the following conditions: high blood pressure, heart problems, pregnancy or diabetes.

Attire – Wear proper attire in the pool area.  Aqua shoes & one piece swim suits recommended.

Cell Phone Usage – The use of cell phones in the locker rooms is strictly prohibited

Towels – Please dispose of used towels in the receptacles provided throughout the locker rooms.

Lockers – Please use only one locker during your visit.  Items left in the lockers (with the exception of rented lockers) overnight will be confiscated.

Showers – Please be respectful of other members who may be waiting to take a shower.  Reserving a shower is strictly prohibited and may result in confiscation of those items left in the shower.

Children – Parents bringing children in for swim lessons or during family hours may only use the family locker room.

Attire – Err on the side of modesty. Stay generally covered up in the locker room.
