Increase Athletic Performance

Increasing athletic performance isn't just for those who are on teams or participate in individual events. Let the NCH Wellness Center help you achieve your goal.

No matter how much or how little you participate in sporting events or competitions, you should be concerned with your performance. Your workouts should do more than just help you burn fat or build muscle. They should help increase your balance, strengthen your functional movements, and make you a more athletic person. Athleticism is just as important in the gym as outside it. Too many people go through the motions without considering how much better they could be doing. We have everything you need to maximize your performance.

  • Personal Training-Let our trainers educate you on the guidelines and principles that you need to know to get the most from your workout.
  • Resting Metabolic Rate Testing (RMR)-Learn exactly how many calories you need to consume each day with this medically-based breath test.
  • Pilates Reformer-Simultaneously increase your power and minimize your risk of injury with Pilates training.

Not just for triathletes, training in the water can take your performance to the next level. Water is about 800 times denser than air, so it provides about 12 times more resistance. That means the moves you do in the pool can work your entire body, particularly your arms, legs, shoulders, and core. Exercising in the pool is a great complement to conventional dry-land exercises like running because there's virtually no impact on your joints. Besides group exercise classes that take place in the lap pool, the Wellness Center offers coach-led swimming workouts:

  • Master's Basic
  • Master Swim Sea Dogs
