Golf outing raises a record $540,000 for cancer care vision at NCH

August 25, 2021

Friends and colleagues hit the links in the annual Golf Classic

Northwest Community Hospital Foundation’s 24th annual Golf Classic at Medinah Country Club on July 26 raised more than $540,000 in net proceeds, far surpassing previous fundraising records for this longstanding event. Funds will support an ambitious plan to transform cancer care for the region. MedProperties was the Title Sponsor of the 2021 event that also included an online silent auction and raffle that garnered support from attendees as well as members of the community. The Golf Classic has raised nearly $12 million in gross revenue in its 24-year history.

“The overwhelming generosity shown by our partners and friends supports ours mission to provide world class cancer care to our community,” shared Henry Dominicis, M.D., co-chair of the event and physician director of Ambulatory Services at NCH.

Event co-chair Giancarlo Pacini, senior vice president of Healthcare and Senior Living with Leopardo Construction, remarked, “We are so grateful for the support we received—all of our sponsors and participants should be proud of the role they’ve played in enhancing cancer care at NCH. So many people and families in our community will benefit from their generosity.”

“Our Cancer Vision Campaign seeks to transform the patient and family experience. By taking our outstanding programs, physicians, care teams, and support services and making them even better, NCH is working to improve each step of this frightening journey. The centerpiece of this vision will be a stand-alone cancer center, but this vision is not just about a building. It is about achieving a goal to carefully consider what, where, and how care is provided through the eyes of the patient and their family,” says NCH Foundation Executive Director David Ungurean. “We continue to rely on the community’s input and support to make this vision a reality. Supporters of our Golf Classic are playing an enormous role in helping our vision for cancer care to become a reality – and for that we are incredibly grateful.”

NCH looks forward to hosting the 25th Annual Event in the summer of 2022 at Medinah Country Club. If you would like more information about the event or would like to join the NCH Foundation mailing list, please call 847-618-4260 or email foundation@nch.org
