NCH requesting community feedback

February 17, 2021

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) has launched an online survey to gauge the health needs of residents in the hospital’s surrounding communities.

The purpose of this assessment is to identify major health problems, gaps in services and other factors that affect the health of residents in the NCH market. Once this process is complete, NCH will use the resulting information to develop strategic plans and goals and work collaboratively with others to improve the health of the community.

“NCH has been surveying the hospital community for more than 20 years,” said Karen Baker, executive director, Community Services and Advocacy at NCH. “We feel it’s the best way to help us plan our outreach initiatives and allocate our resources.”

NCH is inviting residents of Arlington Heights, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Island Lake, Kildeer, Lake Zurich, Mount Prospect, Mundelein, Northbrook, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, Round Lake, Schaumburg, Streamwood, Vernon Hills, Wauconda and Wheeling to complete the confidential survey online, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Questions cover access to health care, chronic disease, behavioral health and other health issues and concerns. Participants are also asked to identify their top three health needs for the community; responses will be anonymous. The survey is available at http://www.nch.org/survey February 12-22.
