Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) breaks ground in Kildeer for new Outpatient Care Center

More than 60 guests, including the Mayor of Kildeer, NCH leadership, builder Leopardo Companies, real estate investor Medicus Capital and development firm Ankura Healthcare Real Estate attended a groundbreaking ceremony held on November 16 to mark the start of construction on a 50,000-square-foot, two-story Outpatient Care Center. The new facility will be located at the corner of Rand and Cuba Roads in Kildeer.

Answering the call to respond to the growing needs of the community, NCH President and CEO Steve Scogna shared NCH’s vision to expand the outstanding quality care NCH offers by replacing a nearby existing NCH Immediate Care Center at 1201 S. Rand Road in Lake Zurich with a state-of-the-art medical building complete with multiple healthcare services.

“This project is yet another example of our commitment to provide the best in healthcare to the many communities we serve,” Scogna says. “It will meet the increasing demand and growing need for both healthcare services and providers in the area.”

The Outpatient Care Center, slated for completion in late 2019, will include:

• Primary care and specialty physician clinics
• An immediate care center
• A full-service imaging center, including MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, cardiac diagnostics and bone densitometry
• A breast imaging center
• A lab draw site
• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Intensive cardiac rehab

NCH is partnering with construction firm Leopardo Companies based in Hoffman Estates, Medicus Capital, architectural firm Jensen and Halstead and real estate development firm Ankura.

This project comes on the heels of a new Outpatient Care Center located on the Harper College campus in Palatine, which opened four months ago and offers primary and immediate care seven days a week.
