Northwest Endoscopy Center Earns National Accreditation

August 11, 2017

Northwest Endoscopy Center (NEC) has earned accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, (AAAHC), a private, non-profit organization improving the quality of care provided to patients. AAAHC accreditation means that the organization participates in on-going self-evaluation, peer review and education to continuously improve its care and services. The organization also commits to a thorough, on-site survey by AAAHC surveyors, who are health care professionals, at least every three years.

“The AAAHC accreditation demonstrates the quality of our facility,” said NEC Medical Director Mitchell Bernsen, M.D. “NEC provides high quality services and easy access to a variety of diagnostic tests and treatments for many gastroenterology (GI) conditions.”

NEC is a joint venture between Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) and area GI specialists. It provides cost-effective care and easy access to a wide range of endoscopic and other outpatient gastrointestinal procedures, including:
