What to Expect During Your First Visit

A physician specializing in weight loss treatment will meet with you to discuss your overall health, weight history and past efforts to get to a healthier weight. He or she will also perform a physical exam.

You will then return for scheduled appointments with the registered dietitian and behaviorist. The team will develop a personalized meal plan based on your metabolic rate, diseases (such as diabetes), activity patterns and goals for your personal health, and give instruction for physical activity.

In addition to lifestyle changes, other treatment options include:
