Heart disease is the number one cause of death in women, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and claims the lives of one-in-five women in the United States. We offer a Women’s Hearth Health Program to educate and bring expert care to women experiencing health issues affecting their cardiovascular system.

Symptoms

Our Program’s cardiologists and staff specialize in women and heart disease in all stages of life. Many heart conditions do not have symptoms until it becomes critical. However, women are more likely than men to experience symptoms, which may include:

  • Angina (dull and heavy or sharp chest pain or discomfort)
  • Pain in the neck, jaw, or throat
  • Pain in the upper abdomen or back
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Indigestion
  • Shortness of breath
Treatment
