In 2009, renowned surgical oncologist Malcolm Bilimoria, M.D. joined NCH and opened ICPHD, giving patients access to complex surgeries. Dr. Bilimoria has performed more than 3,000 pancreas and liver surgeries during a career that has spanned over two decades.

A Healing Environment

We have designated our facilities to enhance privacy and safety for our patients while creating a supportive, family friendly atmosphere. All patients undergoing surgery through ICPHD are able to recover in private rooms in a specially designated wing of the hospital.

Navigating Your Way

Cancer care can be complex. Many patients feel overwhelmed with all the intricacies of their pre- and post-surgical regimen. Our Nurse Navigator Program ensures patients get the information and care they need. Each patient has access to a full-time nurse navigator to guide them through the treatment process. ICPHD patients have access to the only specialized pancreas and liver support.
