As part of Team Member Appreciation Week, NCH and the Arlington Heights Garden Club dedicated a tree in honor of the sacrifices made by healthcare workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The May 11 event included a tree being planted in the landscaped island between the Busse entrance and north pavilion on the NCH hospital campus.

There was a short presentation with speakers including President and CEO Steve Scogna, Arlington Heights Garden Club President Jim Spannagel, Garden Club member and retired NCH nurse June Miller and Chief Nursing Officer, Kim Maguire.

Spannagel told attendees that this gift from the community was a Sugar Maple Tree specifically selected to show many generations to come the gratitude extended to all healthcare workers.
