Do you have connections or supplies to help NCH?

April 3, 2020

We are so proud of our employees at Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH), many working around the clock to keep our community as healthy as possible. We are equally appreciative that our community has rallied around us in so many ways during this pandemic.

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve, we’re reaching out in an effort to obtain more Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for our healthcare workers and frontline professionals.

Due to a nationwide supply shortage, we are encouraging those with connections throughout our local business community to reach out on our behalf. We are specifically looking for businesses that may have reduced their operations, are closed or are either not utilizing or have a supply of needed equipment on hand to donate.

PPE is commonly used by businesses in dental care and oral surgery, veterinary services, surgical centers, manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, industrial clean-up, beauty salons and other industries. Typical applications for some types of this safety equipment may include: machine or vehicle maintenance, paint spraying, metal polishing, general industry/manufacturing, clean-up and processing, abatement/remediation, agriculture, cleaning and maintenance, non-hazardous operations, pharmaceutical cleanroom and welding/metalwork.

Additionally, in line with new recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Governor Pritzker, we are implementing a universal masking program and are accepting donated handmade masks.

To safely donate commercial-grade or handmade PPE, supporters do not need to exit or park their cars. They simply may drive up to the main entrance of Northwest Community Hospital at 800 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Someone will be there to accept the donation. If delivery is not possible, please call 847-618-0252 to coordinate a pickup of your donation from your location.

If you have donations of other items or special offers (discounts on food, services, etc.) for staff support and recognition, email givecovid19@nch.org or call 847-618-GIVE.

Community members who would like to provide financial donations to NCH can visit nch.org/donate or call the NCH Foundation at 847-618-4260.

Thank you for assisting us however possible. We’re getting through this together.
