We are continuing our series with members of the NCH Community who want others to know their reason for getting their COVID-19 vaccine booster.

Why I got boosted: I got my Bivalent booster vaccine to protect not only myself, but my family and co-workers as well. Getting the booster made me feel confident that I can spend time with those close to me without putting each other at risk.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has approved and is recommending new bivalent (“Omicron”) boosters for individuals ages 12 and up.
People ages 12 and older: NCH is currently accepting new Omicron booster appointments. Appointments can be made through MyChart or by calling 847-618-0242.
For children ages 5 to 11: NCH continues to accept appointments for original monovalent boosters.
