Why Boost?

We are continuing our series with members of the NCH Community who want others to know their reason for getting their COVID-19 vaccine booster.

Why I got boosted: I received the Moderna booster in November 2021. At that time the Delta variant was the dominant coronavirus strain. After observing the tragic international impact of the Delta variant I believed it was logical to receive the Moderna booster vaccine. After analyzing data for middle-aged men it seemed clear that I should receive the booster to assist with providing protection against serious illness or death. As a father, husband and healthcare worker, I strive to remain healthy to best fulfill my responsibilities. I consider myself quite fortunate to never have contracted COVID-19 to date.
