We are continuing our series with members of the NCH Community who want others to know their reason for getting their COVID-19 vaccine booster.
Name: Jerry Bragg, M.S., CCC-SLP, MBA
Title: Director
Department: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Current hometown: Chicago
Why I got boosted: If there is any silver lining to the pandemic for me personally, I would say this experience has reinforced how much I cherish and value connections with colleagues, family and friends. Reuniting with family after a long period and resuming some safe social activities with close friends has been so wonderful. Particularly gratifying was the opportunity to see my mom in Florida, after staying away for a long time out of concern for her fragile health.
I got boosted so I can enjoy more visits with mom and continue to engage in my community in a meaningful way. I’m also thrilled to be able to attend more in-person meetings in recent days at NCH. Zoom meetings have their role but I feel in-person meetings hands down allow for much better collaboration and truly foster stronger relationships. I’m committed to doing everything I can to keep our recent progress going!
